Why is lusting for results wrong?

I always lust for results and in the end I make it. Few examples being telekinesis, teleportation and other things. But I hear when you petition a demon you should not lust for results. What is the logic behind that?

It’s not “wrong”. It risks ruining or reducing the results through doubt. Doubt kills magick.
