What herb is this? Extremely confused

I remember this herb is for hexing. I kept it for so long I don’t remember what it is! I will provide a photo if needed.

It came from Yamunanangar, Haryana. It only says Indian Spices on the outside. It looks almost like brown / orange dry leaves.

Originally had a strong scent, can’t compare to anything but burned your nostrils. Lol.
