So…I was drawn to work with Baron Samedi. A few attempts to contact him I think we’re unsuccessful…yet. Today out of nowhere I think I may have made contact because out of nowhere I got a huge nosebleed like someone punched me in my left nostril. I’m curious if anyone had similar experiences to be more descriptive the blood was chunky when coming out and there was A LOT of blood

Does skulls have a meaning in voodoo? Skulls surround my house and I’m still very new. I’m trying to find the meaning

Could you tell me exactly how you used the lemon. I have used a egg but looking for something else.

Skulls can represent a lot of things, from houses of the dead to harnessing the power of the dead. its all about the intention of the Magickion and the Gnosis of the Spirits

Skull is used to pour alcohol on during as an offering.

You cut the lemons Into quarters call upon Papa Legba ask that all negative energy, curses, hexes,
Be put into the lemons and you smother the lemons in salt, place them somewhere safe for 3 days. Come back on the 3rd day and if they are deteriorated do it again until the lemons are unaffected. This will remove any negative energy. When you find the lemon deteriorated find a strong stream of water. Dump the lemons into the stream and ask LWA LOCO to carry the lemons back into the earth

Erzulie is the only one I feel connected to. Papa has appeared to me, but I rather not talk about him. I’m interested in learning more and respect it as an outsider. Erzulie came to me…

Thats great but Vodou spirits arent like demons, Papa Legba holds the key of connection to the world of the Lwa, you have to ask him to open that gate before talking to a spirit and ask him to close it after every ritual, in all the rituals ive been to he is always the first and last spirit honored, he holds the key to the crossroads.

Its fine that you feel connected to the family of Ezrulie, which Ezulie is it you you feel connected to?

Everyone who usually doesn’t practice voudan doesn’t want to talk to Legba, but like @anon39410973 stated he is the gatekeeper. And voudan is not like any other system out there magick or evocation wise. It’s very unique.

I don’t get this, Papa Legba is an amazing Lwa.
I had the luck of meeting him; he was very wise and helpful.

What part? That hes the gatekeeper or that people dont want to meet him?

Sorry, that people don’t want to meet him.
To me it’s a no brainer you’d talk to him first. Do people find him frightening?

Papa Legba can be intimidating for sure, but when he introduces you to your Legba its amazing, Papa or Maman is a title given to the first in a family of Lwa

I contacted Papa Legba for the first time and it was amazing for me (years ago) I don’t understand why most try to not talk to him first. Most try to look at Voudan like they do with demonalatry they just pick and choose. I love Voudan because in a way it’s a magical system of respect that is mutual for the operator and the summoned that’s what makes it unique to me. I had just asked Papa Legba not to long ago for an acceptance of apology for my blunders for not asking him to close the doors to the LWA. Once I did ask though I felt all the stress leave my body, I have been a nervous wreck all day because I did a ritual to Baron Samedi to which I asked him to work with me. Then my nosebleed. In any case I’m better now for it. Legba comes to me every day. Just to check up on me or to let me know he’s there.

Yes, something similar happened to me, the Lwa where getting mad at me because i wasn’t working with them enough and neglecting my duty’s so a did a offering to Legba for forgiveness and to ask for a break till i got my shit back together. My Legba comes to me to check up on me when i am going along my day occasionally making a few jokes when im down and gives me advice when i need it.

I feel very drawn to Baron Samedi and Mama Brigette. It is interesting they are husband and wife. But the Baron has my attention as of now. I believe I asked for a sign that the Baron wants to work with me and about 30-40 mins later my nose bled like I had been punched on my left side. Since it had happened so spontaneously I take it as a signal. I have been asking Legba more and more everyday for direction on what LWA everything points to Baron Samedi the LWA of death. The nosebleed seemed appropriate I think he was amused by it to be honest

I have alot of experience with haitian vodou and not the good kind. I met quite a few people whom aren’t haitian whom are initiated as houngans and mambos and they expect anyone who isnt haitian to get on their hands and knees and Express white shame or guilt. Most in the field that aren’t of haitian decent are top of the line jerks. The problem is,if you meet one that is of haitian decent. You cant tell of they are just s bokor taking you for a ride to get money out of you. I actually went to Haiti in carrefore in dephayne road. I was the only blanc in the area. I stayed in a peristye for 5 days. I was alleged to have a maryaj lwa,. I saw the procession, the possessions take place,I even heard baron Kriminel speak from an altar. With his own voice. But at the end of the trip, nothing changed. No benefits. I then found out I was taken for a ride
I wasnt married,it was just an expensive offering to erzulie dantor and erzulie freda. My suggestion is this. You can get a reading from a reputable houngan and find out who your met tet is,and who is in your escort. Then how they can help you and in what areas of your life. You draw some veves on the ground with street chalk and make offerings while stating your petition. My suggestion is to avoid the religion and just work with the lwa Independently
