I am wondering if Hecate is a real entity. Is she a Goddess? I evoked her and not much came of it. (I completed E.A.'s evocation course) I have been looking, but having trouble finding reliable sources of information about spirits. What are some good, reliable sources regarding attributes of spirits and their sigils? I have keys of Solomon, but is there a type of quick reference/encyclopedia that focuses just on spirits and their sigils?

Yes to both, unless you’re one of those people who thinks all spirits are archetypes of the mass consciousness and not distinct beings with agendas etc., but I don’t find them to be that way myself. As real as any other god or goddess for sure, with a long history of worship and helping people out (in the past, people expected their gods to earn their keep so to speak, and provide real assistance).

Persist, with spirits who are basically powerful gods in their own right it helps to have read a lot about their original cults, their worship, and attributes.

Hecate is a goddess with a long history, and sigils are a reasonably modern idea from the era when people wrote grimoires listing “demonic” spirits possibly as a way to link to a being without any charges of idolatry, or fears of breaking the “graven images” commandment - that’s not to say that they don’t work (they do) or that gods won’t give you them (they will!) but don’t let lack of a sigil put you off.
Most gods and goddesses were summoned, thanked, or called on for aid using idols of some kind, in the cae of Greece that would often be statues. Artistic representations of these (or nicely printed photos from the net) are accepted by a lot of spirits for this purpose.
Hecate’s page on Wikipedia is pretty good as a starting point for research, then (since Greek religion is an established academic field) follow up on things that interest you with online research: Hecate - Wikipedia
I know some people on here work with her a lot, maybe they’ll be able to give you some more useful advice as well.

She is a goddess that goes back way before Greece. There is a ton of information on her, especially these last few years, she has exploded. Don’t worry about the EA evocation stuff. I will provide some resources here:

I have heard with Hecate that people have to evoke her several times, one person has called her a bit stubborn at first.
This topic interests me as I plan to meet with her for the first time soon.

I know that evocation is working for me because I called someone else and it seemed to work pretty well.
do u ever have spirits come, but they don’t fulfill the request? I cannot see or hear them. But I am a channel, and hold conversation.
I do not see or hear spirits either. Although I did see Baba Yaga as a silhouette with my eyes closed once. I can feel the presence and pick up impressions as internal dialogue.
As far as results, I focus less on that as I really look to communing with them as I develop my abilities.
Sometimes, it’s usually a good idea to ask them why, and what you need to do to get your goal.

It’s not so much she’s stubborn, just really busy and she prefers you know what you want of her before you ask.
She’s one of them gods that’s like know what you want, ask, practice using the gift she gives, then ask for help if your stuck.
(edit) Oh and as for the last bit about not fulfilling a request! It’s in her history she’s allowed to refuse mortals, if she does not deem it worthy. She will only grant something that is needed, not wanted.
Just an update for Jade since this was my first time working with Hecate:
I invoked hecate along with my higher self…(versus evoking)
I came in with heavy intent and reasoning to request her assistance.
I shown her the true intents of my heart as well.
She showed me one of my abilities to focus on and also shown me her hair. It was light silver/light gold…it reminded me of starlight…and blew like it was windy.

I began calling upon her daily, and I feel like she warmed up to me. She told me I am asking for the wrong things and she gave me a nice prayer of what to ask her for. As far as entities not doing what I ask, there have been a few incidences of this. Hecate has told me I need to conjure more WILL, and I now she is right. She calls it “Fury”. But I don’t know how to do this!! I have trained myself into the Buddha, I don’t easily get worked up. Is there a spirit I can call upon for help with this?

Look up the furies of greek mythology, perhaps that’s dual hint from her.

Well, those are talking about Murder, jealousy and vengeance. What do u see in that, that would be important? Just the strong emotion?

Perhaps she means your intention in magick. Perhaps you are too calm, it’s time to vocalise what you want in a much more assertive manner rather than just whispering it. shrugs Maybe try imagining that you are in room full of people and you need to be heard, practice raising your vocal pitch and strength to be heard in the back where hekate’s sitting lol
