The tree of the knowledge of good and evil can be called duality or the Ida and Pingala separated. The tree of life can be call union as the male and female energy (pingala and ida) unite, then the kundalini results and circles the spine 3 and one half time.
A far different description from what traditional religion gives.

I cannot confirm,nor deny that statement.
The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil appears in the Book of Genesis in the Bible.The Bible,however,is full of renditions of Middle-Eastern myths,that it’s really hard to say what’s authentic,what’s fictional,and what’s stolen from another religion.
The myth of Adam and Eve appears in Mesopotamia,with Adamus being the first man made by the Annunaki.However,there is also this thing: Adam and Eve cylinder seal - Wikipedia
These all suggest the legend of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil predates the Book of Genesis,monotheism,and even monolatry as a whole.
HOWEVER,if any of this connects to Ida and Pingala,I don’t know.
The real question,though,may be if the tree of knowledge of good and evil is WITHIN YOU,then how can YOU PUT IT TO GOOD USE?
