Does anyone know which full moon event is most influential in controlling the minds of people? (Events being things such as: blue moon, blood moon, etc.)

You could look up the names of the moons and work from there. The names change based on regional culture, too, so you might get several ideas there

Moons in general are quite hypnotizing. I would try to look up moon-based superstitions and keep an eye out for mind-control creatures of those superstitions.
