He and his mother tricked his father into passing down the throne. Afterwards, he had the rightful heir killed. He forced his gigantic army to be always at the ready via conscripted service of farmers, etc, thus leaving families and farms without their men though never utilizing them. He was hugely unpopular.
He had hundreds of concubines, sex slaves, most of which probably wasted their lives in the harem without ever seeing him. He worked with angels who apparently sold out the secrets to the corrupt and greedy fellow who then imprisoned and forced the beings to building his kingdom. He was a shady dude from the start, who did shady things. In the end, he lost his power over a slip up, and then lost everything…his kingdom.
