Talisman Creation

I found this great webiste just thought I would share.

I have 2 gold rings and want to make talismans out of them, but they are not big enough to write things on. Anyone know another way?

What shape and size are the rings - are they plain bands, or do they have stones or anything set in? If they’re bands, how wide are they?

One is an engagment ring the other is a gold one with a diamond on top. The bands are plain.

Thanks - well for the one with the stone, you could get some modelling putty, press it inside so it’s a flat disc with the ring as the frame, make a small hole near the top for the bail (opposite the diamond, which points downwards - charge it to “amplify”), and then carve/press symbols into the flat surface, maybe dust on gold-coloured eyeshadow (or whatever’s best for a planet you chose) while the putty’s still unset so it sets into the surface, then varnish the whole thing once the putty has cured hard.

You might want to stick a circle of aluminium foil on the back, again while the putty’s still malleable, so the oils in your skin don’t erode it when it’s worn. You could press a symbol into that and all symbols could be filled in with carefully-applied enamel paints, Humbrol is a great brand in the Uk and might be one to look for (or similar) if you live in the US or elsewhere.

There are probably other ways (you could use the plain one stuck to some gold card as the circle in the alchemical Sun symbol) and hopefully people will posted those, but I’ve done things like I described before, they can look pretty good, and powder pressed on, then varnished, seems to last better than most metallic paints I’ve tried.

OMG, Lady Eva those are great ideas!. Love the putty one!
