These guys built a camp stove out of a beer can, should work great for fire scrying as well:

Note: They’re using pure alcohol (or high % alcohol) for the fuel. So - rubbing alcohol (medical alcohol), methylated spirits (camping alcohol), or if you can get it cheap enough you can use high-proof ethanol (drinking alcohol). I’ve heard that hand sanitizer will also work, as long as you make sure it is the kind that is mostly alcohol.
