What makes you think it was Melek Taus at first? Did the peacocks behave in such a way to even vaguely point to an aspect of a deity? Did they show abnormal behavior, like taking special interest in humans for no apparent reason?

I’ll help you brainstorm but I can’t really point in any general direction without some more context. Like you said, the peacock is a symbol for quite a few gods. Maybe the way they act or spiritually “felt” like would be a clue.

It’s just who I thought of.

That was also the only peacock deity I knew of at the time, before now.

Hm, okay. Maybe look at peacock symbolism and try to figure out if someone (regardless of who) is trying to tell you something. Like maybe a warning or a choice in the near future.

Additionally, here is a fairly unbiased news article on Yezidi beliefs, in case you would like to research Melek Taus in more detail. Good Yezidi resources are rarer than Greek or Hindu ones by a thousandfold.

Thank you, this is all very interesting.

Hmm there were two. That’s a number. Anyone know if the number 2 is a sacred number to any peacock deity?

I found something related to 2 that might help for Hindu symbolism. Essentially it is the number of dualistic balance.

“The number two is a symbolic representation of the state of duality which we experience objectively through our minds and the senses. It also symbolizes Purusha and Prakriti (God and Nature), Brahman and Atman as two separate entities, the knower and the known, the subject and the object, the doer and the deed, the self and the not self, the bhutatman (ego or physical self) and the antaratman (real Self), Siva and Shakti, Vishnu and Lakshmi, Brahma and Saraswathi, the earth and the sky, cause and effect, the day and the night, the heaven and the hell, the good and evil, the right and wrong, knowledge and ignorance, higher knowledge and lower knowledge, life and death, illusion and illumination and mortality and immortality.”

Satanic peacock symbolism:

“The Peacock is sacred to Satan and represents the third eye and the multi-colored stage of the Magnum Opus following the Nigredo [transformation].”

Taken from: http://dawn666blacksun.angelfire.com/Satanic_Symbols.htm

The peacock has also been condemned by Christians and Muslims because the Yezidi were known as “devil worshippers” because Melek Taus, the peacock angel, challenged God’s commands, and the Yezidi praise Melek Taus for independence. Many Christians compared Melek Taus to Christian Lucifer.

it HAPPENED AGAIN I HAVE A CHEST FEATHER

I’m obsessed with these peacocks. AND ITS THE EXACT SAME TWO PEACOCKS… AFTER I ASKED FOR A SIGN…

I some how missed it before, it’s hard to tell with these pictures but one looks like a male and the other female. (Unless they both have the same tail feathers). I would speculate it’s either an omen or warning dealing with someone of the opposite sex, or a call to pay attention to another “opposite” half within yourself.

And this is exactly a week after the first event… If they appear again a week later, post something then. See if a pattern is emerging from what you do or don’t pay attention to. It could be a divination trying to tell you something about your focus or attitude.
