Ritual with fire

Does it matter if the paper sigil does not burn all the way down from the fire?

I think I used too much rubbing alcohol and the paper was too wet.

I tore up the rest that was left.

Thanks

You could have put that in fire.

Yep, it’s perfectly fine.

If it helps, you can consider this part of the working (burning the sigil/seal) as a ritualistic gesture to signify that you’re removing the working from your conscious mind, and giving it up to the entity and/or your subconscious to fulfil. So you’re all good here. :+1:

Agreed that last step is a way to tell your subconscious that the rite of magic has ended.

It’s fine. It helps to use a dagger so you can get a more complete burn.

I’ve found dropping my sigils and petitions in the ocean to be even more effective.

I kept thinking anything having to do with the ocean might be really effective. I have tongs to help move the paper around.

Water is the bridge of all things yes it’s an exceptionally effective way to return something to the ALL.
