I’m divorcing and my wife told me that she wants the wedding album because she have to burn it in the temple (she is Japanese).
Is it a tradition or it is a way to curse me?

I think its just her way of attempting to divorce herself from her memories.

Never heard of it being a actual tradition in any culture, but this kind of thing probably ain’t exactly common knowledge. I doubt its intended as a curse though, more a method of getting over the divorce quicker, like some women cut their hair short to “let go of some baggage” or so I’m told
