I petitioned ORIAS to win a competition for me and my team that would be career changing for all of us, but I just found out we didn’t win.
I am devastated, to say the least.
What did I do wrong and why didn’t he accept my request?
Multiple possibilities. You would want to do a divination and meditate on it to figure out what’s real.
Top issues can be:
First, maybe he didn’t even get the request. An impostor or simple fail to connect can cause this.
Two, you want to ask if the request is accepted when you make it, then you’ll know if there’s an issue, you need to do something or ask a distant entity. I always check after I had a working fail for this reason. There was a block that needed a different solution first.
There there must be a path to manifestation. If the winning team was just miles better, the judges are not in your favor or some other human-choice gets in the way, the push from the magick may not be enough to override free will.

Multiple reasons. In my case one of things didn’t work and later I found out it was within me, the sort of block, like I in fact unconsciously didn’t want this to happen, even though initially my thought was that it would change my life for better. But it appeared it would not and so, the request was heard but not fulfilled. Which, in fact, turned out to be positive outcome.

Thank you. I suppose that there was a failure in connecting with ORIAS. I sometimes have some sort of feeling when contacting other entities but with him, nothing.
Would it work if I meditate to his enn and do a Tarot card reading to figure out what went wrong and if I can try again?

I would open the sigil or use a pathworking and use what’s basically telepathy to ask the entity directly.
(I never use enns on principle, myself: I don’t believe in worship.)
A tarot reading is a good idea to ask yourself what your own blockers are, figuring out the flows of energy and indicating factors that you were not aware of at the time.

UPDATE: I tried to contact Orias again to ask what happened. I use Tarot cards to understand answers from demons more easily, and this approach has worked before, but this time I didn’t feel this was accepted. I always ask for their license before proceeding with the Tarot, and this time it felt like a no. Then I just meditated on his enn and sigil, I asked briefly what happened with my petition and if I should try to contact him again. Both times I felt a “no”. My final question was if he would refer me to another demon for this type of procedures, and I perceived the answer would be Leraje. I then finished the session.
Not all entities are compatible with everyone, and that is perfectly fine. Just like it happens with humans, you click with some and with others you don’t. In the second case, it’s better to leave them with respect and gratitude for their time, and look for other options.
