Now i stray away from these boards but i used it anyways. Whenever i asked the first question " is anyone there" i had a jolt in my heartrate. Is this a bad sign.

No it’s a good sign! If working your magic doesn’t give you a jolt in your heart rate then ywhat te you doing 
That said just make sure you don’t compromise your safety and believe you’ll be fine and just enjoy the ride
