Yes but she didn’t do any magic course as they weren’t around back in the '80’s!

If your going the academic route look into anthropology or folklore studies also.
I’m sure you are able to figure this out for yourself, but I found that even if a course/courses are listed in the university curriculum, they don’t always run or might not be available when you need them to be. Also, at least in the US, universities seem to have their own “style” when it comes to liberal arts. I took an anthropology class that talked about magic in Africa (among other things) but found out from a friend that those classes would have been history at another university that I went to.
