New to the Occult

#1

Hello all. I have a Christian background but have long been interested in the Occult. Never could explain it, just always have been, but have also always been afraid to “try it out” due to my religious up-bringing. I have recently given-in over the last few months and have been studying and trying little rituals here and there with little to no results. After watching Koetting’s Evocation series, I’ve actually had some results. No full-bore manifestations during the evocations, but I had something unbelievable happen to me today.

I watched EA saying he was receiving words from a demon and writing them down. I thought, “you know, that seems too simple. I am going to try that and see what happens.” I attempted to evoke Clauneck as this is the demon I have been trying in the past. One question I asked was, “What other spirits/demons could I contact for teaching spiritual knowledge?” I got some names that mean nothing to me after a google search. I anticipated that could happen and I clearly felt a presence in the room. So I asked further, “Can you give me the name of a demon I could google and get results to? Just to give me verification this is real.” To which I felt impressed to write down the name “Amodeus.” A google search revealed “Asmodeus” as a well-know demon. I am fresh into this, and although this is a well-know entity, it is a new one to me. I can count on one hand the number of demons I know the name of as I have not studied any demon names/atrributes. I own no grimoires.

I’m floored right now.

well, the bible is a very magickal book. it’s hidden in plain view but it’s there. judaism and christianity are a thin veneer for kabbalism, which is babylonian magick as practiced by jewish mages who lived in chaldea. that is where abram was from - the jews are descended from magical and political class in the city of ur, which was in the chaldean province, now located in southeastern iraq. the bible is their book of shadows over time, and its full explanation and meaning is found in talmud and zohar.

if you take the time to read up on ambelain’s practical kabbalah volumes 1 (http://bit.ly/nHapcb) and 2 (http://bit.ly/oMYRkY) to get a feel for basic jewish magick. if you want to go the whole hog and combine what you know about the bible with babylonian and jerusalem talmud (http://bit.ly/15gcCSl) and the zohar (http://bit.ly/18DBMk), you will understand the basis of jewish and christian magick. from there you can dip into the many grimoires and they will make a lot more sense to you.

you are new at it. there’s nothing wrong with being new, everybody has to start somewhere. keep at it, eventually something will give.

which is more than you’ll get from a lot of magicians online. caveat emptor when it comes to magick and you’ll save yourself a LOT of trouble

asmodeus is aeshma deva in zoroastrianism and ashmedai in the levant and middle east. you can read up more on him here (http://bit.ly/QHu4hM) and you’ll find his sigil as the 32nd demon in the ars goetia (http://bit.ly/196oprC) as well as other places if you look around. i’ve added it below for your convenience.

if you read very carefully through the literature, you will see the important characteristic of ashmedai: ‘ashmedai answered that he judged persons and things according to their real character and not according to their appearance in the eyes of human beings.’ aka ashmedai tells the truth with full understanding.

the splurge in ars goetia tells you: the thirty-second spirit is asmoday, or asmodai. he is a great king, strong, and powerful.

more info on ashmedai, with some explanations:

i. he appeareth with three heads, whereof the first is like a bull (taurus), the second like a man (aquarius), and the third like a ram (aries); he hath also the tail of a serpent (hydra), and from his mouth issue flames of fire. his feet are webbed like those of a goose. he sitteth upon an infernal dragon, and beareth in his hand a lance with a banner. his ‘appearance’ mirrors that of the babylonian constellation mušḫuššu (hydra), to which he may or may not be linked; you’ll have to conjure and ask around.

ii. he is first and choicest under the power of amaymon (maymon abba nuch, who you will want to google). he goeth before all other, which basically means if you want to conjure for money or wealth, he’s the #1 go-to for that cause cos he delivers the goods more than any other.

iii. when the exorcist hath a mind to call him, let it be abroad, and let him stand on his feet all the time of action, with his cap or headdress off; for if it be on, amaymon will deceive him and call all his actions to be bewrayed. aka he’s vip of a very high station and you have to show him respect or he’ll basically fuck up your plans.

iv. but as soon as the exorcist seeth asmoday in the shape aforesaid, he shall call him by his name, saying: “art thou asmoday?” and he will not deny it, and by-and-by he (aka YOU) will bow down unto the ground. again, he is a very royal personage and you have to show him the utmost respect.

v. he giveth the ring of virtues; he teacheth the arts of arithmetic, astronomy, geometry, and all handicrafts absolutely. aka he makes you an aristocrat. arithmetic, astronomy, and geometry are all used to find cycles and seasons and patterns, and are important in trade and commerce. under ashmedai you can expect to have a lot to do with the stock and futures markets, big business, and possibly politics.

vi. he giveth true and full answers unto thy demands. which is what i said above. he doesn’t lie, he knows the truth to a level that will shock you.

vii. he maketh one invincible. he showeth the place where treasures lie, and guardeth it. again, he’ll show you every possible way to make lots and lots of money.

viii. he, amongst the legions of amaymon, governeth 72 legions of spirits inferior. those are his familiars and servants from which he can show you how to make sigils that call on legions of spirits. ea’s course teaches how to evoke legions so you’ll want to ask ashmedai about creating these special sigils for your use.

basically, rules over investment and commerce (‘incites gambling, and is the overseer of all the gambling houses in the court of hell,’ according to the malleus maleficarum). finally, he will give you a life of earthly pleasure and wealth (he appears as three animals being associated with either lascivity, lust or revenge, according to de plancy’s dictionnaire infernel). all of the other sources give slight info on him and it all adds up.

long story short, ashmedai is a demon of worldly success and very great wealth and he imparts both to those he pacts with. the legends of solomon bear this out as solomon was known to be one of the wealthiest mages of all time.

seeing as you have been calliing on clauneck, i’m not surprised that you were told to ask asmoday for help. looks like clauneck has promoted you and sent you up to one of the specialists for your cause.

think carefully about what you want from ashmedai cos if you call on him properly you’ll most likely get it and then some. good job
