New member, wanted to say hello

Hey, im new to the space and still learning how to navigate so I’ll probably make a few gaffs but, so it goes.
Ive been interested in the path for a long time, done a fair amount of study but never really thought about walking it myself. Only been in practice for a few months now. Its been an interesting few months.
Ive seen a good number of koetings videos, as well as others. My wife is a member of this community so I have a small understanding of it. Im pretty exited to forage out into the world for myself and I know this will be a helpfull and usefull tool in gaining the knowledge im seeking as well as building relationships in the magical community.
Hopefully I can contribute something myself.
Anyways, hello all, and thank you for the opportunities to come.

Reading and studying is good, but there is only so much you can gain without actual practice.

@DarkestKnight Ive read about alot of different things but decided to start out In Practice with the goatia. I dont feel connected to judeo christianity at all so some of it seems a little disingenuous to me, even silly, how can one derive any real power from something one feels no real conection to? That being said, im drawn more to the daemonalatry side. My wife turned me on to s. Connolys daemonalatry goatia and I like the mutual respect it convays. Rather than think of it as satan and god and angels and demons I like the thought that they are the old guard, so to speak. I def feel more drawn to old norse and pagan thought. That being said, solomonic, hermeticist magic is a good place, I think, to learn and get farmiliar with the ritual, or actual magical practice, in form. I figured it’s a good base to start with. I def have a long way to go but Ive had a few interesting experiences so far and its def started a different kind of thirst.
Ive already found some great stuff on this forum so im super stoked to be ingaged here. Once I figure out how to navigate a little better…
Anything you can point me towards will be super helpful
Thanks

@Jastiv agreed
Making that decision to go from reading to doing can be intimidating! Especially with what the common view in society is.

@DezRa thank you, and , same to you
