First just wanted to say awesome stuff that E.A. said about the Law of Attraction and how that the ones pushing this crap online are the only ones who are getting all the attracting of money they want from suckers who buy into their shit! Great point !
So Magick what is it, its where i start, and I can’t get past Aleister Crowley’s definition “the Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will”, including both “mundane” acts of will as well as ritual magic. Crowley wrote that “it is theoretically possible to cause in any object any change of which that object is capable by nature”.
One must find out for oneself, and make sure beyond doubt, who one is, what one is, why one is …Being thus conscious of the proper course to pursue, the next thing is to understand the conditions necessary to following it out. After that, one must eliminate from oneself every element alien or hostile to success, and develop those parts of oneself which are specially needed to control the aforesaid conditions. You are right.
Law of Attraction is not magick. Real magick is much more powerful than that, and much more than the imagination of this “Law of Attraction gurus” can conceive.
I agree with you that the “Law of Atraction gurus” tend to be clueless, for the most part. Having read several myself, it seems to me they just don’t dig deep enough & internalize these Nonphysical Laws they build their message around.
What I see most of them doing is giving people the impression they ought become Pollyanna, and that if they do the world will be nicer to them … WTF kinda reasoning is that? Magick is Healthier, Saner and has the added benefit of actually WORKING! Z
Because of this New Age bull I lost a few friends who lost themselves in this "Law of Attraction " stuff, and more of that shit, like EFT, NLP, The Reconnection and what else,… I’ve never believed in that commercial fluffy bunny stuff, … But people don’t like it when I tell 'em that and so they turn their back to me because I’m much to “negative”. Yes, Tania, that’s a super Idea!!! In fact, you’re not the first to mention there’s “No place to say Hello” … Maybe start a new thread under the “New Magician” or “General Discussion” Heading? If at least once a day one of us visits & comments, it’ll remain pretty close to the top of the list. Z
