Are you one of the many, like me, that did the second ritual from Magickal Seduction (to turn attraction into love in a specific target) and saw no results? Or worse: did you get the opposite results, as I did?
What I’m bringing to the table is an experiment/idea based on MS and other books (most by the Gallery of Magick), to see if results can be adjusted and polished further to increase the odds of getting the intended results.
This experiment is based on the following books:
- Magickal Seduction, by Damon Brand (obviously)
- 72 Angels of Magick, by Damon Brand
- 84 Genies of Power, by Tristan Whitespire
Of course, I can’t publish all Words of Power and sigils here, so you will have to get the books. If you’re already familiar with them, this will be much easier.
Why the rework?
- Because I (and at least a few more here in the BALG forums) didn’t get the results I/we wanted.
- Because as I read about the Genies, I realized the spirit making the caster fall more in love than the target itself (which seems to be a common denominator) was not Haniel (who was mostly “blamed” for this particular side effect).
- Because the 72 Angels book provides a much more comprehensive way to tune in to angels, and most especially Raziel, which is another key factor in the equation.
So some might get the cake recipe right… but many don’t, so we need to do some extra polishing here because it can’t be that so many are getting no results… or even the opposite.
First things first: this is about ritual 2 from MS. This is NOT to generate attraction where there’s none. The author clearly states it’s to “turn attraction into love,” so the ideal targets for this will be FWB or casual flings that you’re sure you want a relationship with. Whatever the case is, attraction has to already be there.
Timing: start the 11-day ritual (yes, we’ll be keeping the 11 days) during a New or Waxing Moon (you can check Moon phases here ). Try NOT to start it too close to a Full Moon, because then most of the 11 days would be during a Waning Moon. Try to start it on the same day or a couple of days (at most) after a New Moon.
“But whyyyy?!” Because New/Waxing Moons are best for new beginnings and attracting things, situations, or people towards ourselves, while Full/Waning Moons are best for completions, cursing, and pushing things away.
Best days for day 1: Thursday (because of Raziel) or Friday (as with any love working). DON’T finish nor start it on a Saturday.
“But is this really necessary?” Well, it’s all about polishing and making adjustments. Everything counts. Quite a few seemingly minor details may end up making a big difference when combined.
Step 1: Connecting to Raziel
For this step, we’ll extend it based on the ritual opening from the 72 Angels book. Activate the talisman within yourself, light from dark, the calling, etc.
Do the whole opening as you would for any of the 72 Angels. When you get to the line “oh Raziel, let my voice be heard by the great angel…” you STOP. Say the Words of Power right before that, but don’t call any other spirits yet.
Also, use the method the 72 Angels book instructs when you name and call angels (Arzel, Raziel, and Haniel in this case): sing their names three times, and visualize the lightning striking you and connecting you to the divine/spirits/universe/however you want to call it.
TL;DR: read the chapters The Force of Connection, The Angel of Universal Secrets, Singing to Angels, and Preparing for Contact from the 72 Angels book, and replace the call to Arzel/Raziel from MS with that one.
Step 2: The Genies (Genies are not Djinn btw)
We’ll be replacing the Genies.
Switch back to Magickal Seduction. We already called to Raziel to make us heard by the secret angels of the Universe, so we should follow with the Genies, right?
Genies are key. You probably heard of everyone’s (myself included) success with the Magickal Cashbook, right? Well, that’s thanks to Nitika, a Genie. So Genies definitely are quite powerful and not to be taken lightly!
The original call is to Sisera and Jazar, but we’ll be changing them in this rework, based on the book 84 Genies of Power.
“But whyyyy?!” If you check the book, the author states Jazar is a love Genius that makes the caster fall hard for the target, and this has proven to be quite problematic: me, and several others, realized we grew obsessed with our targets, while the targets seemed only subtly affected (if at all). Sisera, on the other hand, is a Genius of desire… in general, not particularly of romantic desires.
So here are better options I found on the 84 Genies book:
- Tukiphat and Causub can open others’ hearts and minds to the caster
- Heiglot can make someone fascinated by the caster
- Eisnuch can make the caster be appreciated and perceived as valuable by the target
Read carefuly about them in the book and pick two (or three, if you like, since the first two can be redundant). Replace Sisera and Jazar with the ones you picked (and their titles, such “Genius of…”).
Now, proceed to call the Genies you chose in the way it’s instructed in MS.
Step 3: Genies Continued (optional, overkill maybe)
Make the call to each of the Genies you chose (one by one, not all together), as the author of 84 Genies instructs (with their sigils, Words of Power, etc).
When you get to the point where you say “it is my will that you…” say “bring me the love and passion of X; send my love into his/her heart so that he/she returns my love” three times, and then “I command this in the names of…” (from MS) instead of giving them their license to depart (because the main ritual isn’t over yet).
This can be redundant, but I doubt giving a bit of extra, dedicated attention to each Genie can do any harm at all.
Step 4: Haniel
Complete the rest of the ritual (from MS), thank the spirits through feelings of gratitude and joy, assuming they’re already working on it for you, give each of them their license to depart, and you’re done!
Keep in mind the request to Haniel is to send your love into someone’s heart, so if you don’t feel genuine love (or if it’s only lust, or obsession, or desperation, or neediness), it will all be for nothing. If your target is romantically involved with others, you might want to get rid of the competition first.
If you want to figure out whether you actually love your target or it’s just lust or a crush, I suggest you try seeking guidance from Aladiah & Buer (The Magick of Angels & Demons, by Henry Archer) before even doing the ritual from MS.
Extras (optional)
These are just recommended complements to consider. They can help boost you and your magick in general, not only for this working.
If you do any (or all) of these, try to do them before the MS ritual, and wait for at least a day or two before doing another (my point being: don’t do several or all on the same day). You’ve got all the time in the world anyway.
Spirits that can help you boost your understanding and results in magick:
- Hayiel, Hariel, and Netahiah (72 Angels of Magick, by Damon Brand)
- Chaho and Eshal (72 Sigils of Power, by Zanna Blaise)
- Nitibus and Kasphuia (84 Genies of Power, by Tristan Whitespire)
- Phul (The Master Works of Chaos Magick, by Adam Blackthorne)
- Hachashel and Netahel (Angelic Sigils, Keys, and Calls, by Ben Woodcroft)
- Vine, Crocell, and Furcas (Demons of Magick, by Gordon Winterfield)
You can also ask the following spirits to inspire you with patience so you can control your lust for results:
- Lahach (72 Sigils of Power, by Zanna Blaise)
- Nememiah (72 Angels of Magick, by Damon Brand)
- Achael, Omael, Nememel, Kavtziel, and Kevashiel (Angelic Sigils, Keys, and Calls, by Ben Woodcroft)
- Haagenti and Murmus (Demons of Magick, by Gordon Winterfield)
Footnotes
When you decide to get started with the ritual, I’d highly recommend keeping all the spirit sigils and Raziel’s talisman nearby and on sight, and taking at least a couple of days writing down and polishing a script so you won’t have to go back and forth between books. Ideally, you can also take a week or two to work on some of the “extras” I mentioned, so when you actually begin the ritual, they will already be in effect and you ensure you won’t be doing the ritual in an impulsive and messy way out of desperation. The “extras” are sort of the “pre-heating the oven” phase. You can just turn it on and put the dough in right away, but if you ever baked anything, you know that’s not ideal.
This rework/extension is just an experiment! Personally, I have no one to try it on at the moment, but I’d like to see if people get better results with these tweaks.
I had results opposite to what I intended with the “vanilla” second ritual from MS, and I’ve found several similar experiences in this forum. I don’t want anyone else to feel the heartbreak I did, so what if this makes it work better for more people?
Please don’t forget to share your results and insights here if you try it!
