It’s all about your intention, and all of that is ingrained in the preporatory work you did before the ritual. You see, the last part of the ritual is basically a closure, a final statement to put out in the open. The work, on your part, was allready finished by the last stroke on your pen. How you do the closure is basically up to you, because this is just a guidline from start to finish, not a strict rule to follow.
I would say that the first half of this ritual is more important than the end part, because the first part is about your intentions and that builds up when you write the letter.
