I want to make my own scrying mirror but as I walked past my laptop, it hit me. Could I use it instead? Sorry if it seems like a dumb question

and the answer is yes. People even use their phone or black bowl with water.

Some time ago I created an image consisting of a black background, with a small sigil of Vassago at the top and in the middle.
The idea was to look at the sigil then scry in the black background, if I remember well I already used it and got the classic “fog/mist”.

The three major gateways to the spirit realms are blood, water and fire. Anything that has reflective properties is said to be connected to the Water element and thus can be scryed into. That is the basis behind the black mirror.
Things people have used include: computer or cell phone screens, a bucket of motor oil, and a glass of Coke-Cola.
