KoF - Wtf is on with "constraining"?

Alright. I have been reading the Kingdoms of Flame and EA keeps using the term constrained.

For example, Rantka Healing Angel. EA says “Although he prefers to teach the magician to heal, the Angel can cure any disease with a touch when constrained to do so.”

Would these entities mind giving us the ability to heal?

And do the entities mind being constrained?

In this case, the use of the word “constrained” means restricted, not forced. The angel prefers to teach the magician to heal themselves, but, if tasked with healing, the angel’s power is limited in expression to what the magician asks.
