I decided I want to experiement with those old ideas that yogi and whatnot lived off of energy, or that one can do certain things to not have to eat and keep going.
I’m not sure how, and I’d love to hear what you guys know.

The hermeticist Kremmerz (Ciro Formisano) wrote, I believe, about feeding by smelling food then continued with something like “I’m not gonna write to what extent the diet of an advanced mage may go and goes, lest I appear saying nonsense”. And Yogananda met a woman who since having prayed was basically nurtured by the sun… May check again and try adding what specific info I find, though.
The stories can be interesting, but I am more looking for methods. IF i can see methods, I can instantly check the results of the method by feeling my body. So if you find those, show me please
Qigong energy cultivation, nei gong and the micro and macrocosmic orbits. It takes a lot - years - to build up to get there though. In theory it’s possible, in practice, while maintaining a lifestyle that pays the bills, eh.
Try Jwing Ming Yang’s ‘The Root of Chinese Qigong’ and works by Mantak Chia.
I am pretty good at building intense energy systems quickly, so lets try. Thanks
Besides I’m 16 energy work is euphoric and i got tons of time
If you complete kundalini circuit, it should give you a big boost.
I did that a few weeks ago
That is good.
Probably not , your body would suffer , we have caloric needs based on our lifestyle , if you move , work , anything that requires activity , glycogen, fat and even muscles reserves are used as fuel
It is said that as you gain more energy in your body you become less dense. So a more powerful energy body creates a less dense and more malleable physical body. The body may not have the same needs at that point.
i did some intense qi gong and holy shit i feel ecstatic
Keep doing it consistently until you reach your goal.
It’s no joke, it takes long and hard work to achieve a state that comes close to it.
Don’t make the mistake of thinking you can do it in a few months and then give up if it doesn’t work.
Persistency.
Good luck.
DOn’t worry, Helena, I can put in the work, it’s just my work doesn’t always make perfect sense.
As a person who is classically anorexic (I lack an appetite) it is so not worth it. Whether its possible or not, the potential harm is great. You dont want to accidentally awaken the part of you convinced food is pointless. Ive been struggling with this for almost 8 years and I usually only eat one meal a day.
You might think that sounds fine if youre there but it isnt. You will get thin and your stomach will hurt all the time. People you barely know will be telling you you lost weight without you even realizing it.
Just take this word of advice, once something is done it cant be undone. I experimented with similar things around your age too, and im still struggling to put the pieces back in their correct place. This can fuck you up in ways I guarantee you wont see coming. Lets not forget the buddha was starving himself before he reached enlightenment. After he opened his eyes, he told his shocked followers “lets eat”.
I think the point of this is to have enough energy in your body that not eating does not negatively affect you.
Sure, but they are also 16, which was right around the time all this stuff got messed up for me. I had a perfectly healthy appetite, but then I got really sick and my appetite has never returned. Not saying it isnt possible, but I dont want @Maxwell to get himself involved with something out of his control.
I dont want this to seem like moralizing, the fact is Maxwell from what Ive read on the forums you remind me a lot of myself at that age. And Lord knows I had fun, but its caused me a lot of problems too. Maybe read up on proper nutrition? That way if you still intend to do this you know the best things to put in your body to replenish in between fasting.
I agree that he should continue to eat in case, but it is a benefit to have this goal in case something happens and there is mass starvation. While everyone out there is foraging to find food, he does not have to worry about eating.
Its a worthy and noble goal, but so is world peace, and many have died on the pathways towards such achievements. Just be careful, and dont lose your head
I think at 16 this kind of experimentation might not be the wisest, as your body is still growing and developing into adulthood, and poor nutrition might impede that. I realize the point is to do so without negative effects, but I wonder if you would be able to try to master a process like this that only exists in legend without a solid, established framework for proceeding in time to avoid negative impact. Good luck!
