Is he also gay and emotionally available? If not work on yourself to remove the unrealistic desire. This is what’s making you miserable and is the actual problem: your attachment.

He is also gay I know he is loving me and doing things in secret but the thing is he is thinking that he is not perfect for me
Hmn, so he’s insecure? Try looking into ways to heal his insecurity. Any healing entity would be a good start.
