Hey everyone, my name is Marni. I have been doing the work for about 2 years, started off quite cynical and just trying it with an attitude of if it works great if it doesnt well what do i have to loose. It started with random tiktoks that i would immediately click away but then when i had some pretty big financial problems that i tried to solve the ‘normal’ way and not only did it not help but it seemed to make things worse as i understood how little control i had over anything, and things just came out of nowhere that i could never have prepared for or anticipated and after fighting and trying getting nowhere i just gave up and that made it worse which i knew would happen i just had given it all and i just didnt even know what else i could do, i was completely hopeless and i had no options and in that low moment somehow out of nowhere a thought came to me I DO NOT KNOW FROM WHERE because i had never even thought about magick in a serious or even non serious way. Then the thought came to me about magick and it was so clear and obvious that i just started to research and read all the books about it and took it serious even when i had no proof of it working i think that experience of having this thought gave me the motivation to go for it.
Because i have no one around me that does this i relied on books and the reddit forums on magick, which the books were great but i had no one to discuss my questions with and the reddit forums are more about experienced people telling new people they are wrong about everything and there is this weird insistance on being initiated which was impossible for me and also after a while their posts really started to feel very immature and stupid and the answers even worse.
I found 1 youtube channel that really did help, all the others are just completely unnecessary 1 hour videos of something that can be explained in 10 minutes. Lengthy explanations of what ‘samhain’ was but nothing about how magick works, what kind of rituals can be used for different problems, no concrete actual useful things, i cannot listen to a goddamn grown woman sitting in her garden lamenting her pagan lifestyle and how i should celebrate yule or whatever when i have actual real life problems that need to be solved preferably me not feeling like a total idiot while doing that.
The youtube channel is What kind of magic is this, the channel is amazing with just a bit of hoo-haa that isnt in any way annoying. He goes through all the general topics you need to know quite good. Solomonic magic, astrological magic, Crowley, hoodoo, crystals, herbology, santeria and so on and so forth i listened to every video several times! Great resource!
I wanted to be prepared and do things right and with knowledge and give it my all so i could never blame my lack of expertise or lack of knowledge to be the problem in it not working. I read all the books i could find, literally reading the entire day not sleeping nights to finish books. Making notes, watching the channel i mentioned. Scowering blogs and sites and reading what people said. I decided after 2 months of study to actually try something i had read enough about to convincingly be able to do myself and that were candle jar spells. Pretty straightforward and relatively easy to do. So i got the ingredients and without any real belief i started
I started with the honey jar spells to get some people that were very much purposefully working against me on my side and against all logic IT WORKED and it worked so fast! I saw results the next day. That for me was the point at which i understood: this is real and its working and a new world opened up. I had a lot of success with the candles and jars but however after a while i felt it was kind of a limited field, i needed something more and i also was kind of done with the whole herbs and things it just became such a thing with the storage and i couldnt do specific things and also one time the candle was too hot for the plate and it blew up in my living room and then i decided there has to be a better way 
Then the youtube channel i mentioned posted a video that was called ‘Ars Goetia’ about the demons and it immediately caught my attention, i dont know why, i have never had any interest in demons or ‘that’ side of things, i had nothing against it but it all seemed so complicated and i thought demons were only for hexes and baneful magick- o how wrong i was!
Back to ars goetia, i googled it and immediately found the gordon winterfield book which i hadnt read until then
The book captivated me with the simplicity, the way it was presented was very clear to me and it cut the pretentious bullshit but gave actual information and was easy to apply. I was hooked. Read the book 5 times that night. After becoming familiar with the material, i decided to use the petition for results, asked Marchosias, Shax and Vine (in three different petitions not all at once) made my offerings did the exact ritual as described learned the entire freaking alphabet and it worked!! It worked literally perfectly, all my financial problems were solved, didnt loose my apartment and got the money back that was withheld for all those months- literally that started the real work and the magic and wonder of that moment when i understood- i did this with literally a book and a sigil - ill never forget it!
For me the Gallery of Magick book collection is invaluable. It has been the most precise, understandable, highly practical work i have found, at it has not failed me up to now, works everytime, with time and experience the work only improves and that makes it ultimately also very fun and exciting!
As i see it for myself, the gallery of magick books have introduced me to a whole new level of magick that i could have never be able to attain myself.
I will say that i use other books too but working with the 72 demons is my favorite and most effective work. I understand this is not something to use on every little thing, i do believe the powers of the demons are only for just and important causes that truly need such great powers. For other things the gallery has multiple books that are perfect. I personally have tried at least 1 technique, sigil, method etc from almost every book i could find. I also purchased the demon book and another couple of others because i heard of the hex, i dont know if its true i just felt it was right to support them after helping me so much, but i didnt purchase them ALL and it works perfectly.
Last but certainly not least, finding this forum, reading your posts, experiences, answers, questions, discussions is so goddamn amazing! I am so happy there is a normal place for people to discuss everything with thats not reddit lol i am soooo happy to finally found it and already learned so much and there is so much more to explore and read im soaking it all in
