I have read some relatively conflicting stuff about this, and just wanted some clarification.
But within magickal works, does intent equate to desire? As in, is an intense “want” or “motivation” what powers your someones work?
If yes, how would someone (a paid professional for example) who is totally emotionally disconnected from a certain situation be able to successfully cast?
If no, would one hypothetically be able to cast spells that one doesnt really care about too much by using intense focus and visualisation during a casting?
It’s pretty simple. Not all rituals are the same. Some spells don’t require emotional energy to drive them so it all depends on the type and method. That’s how professionals work.

For me, I feel the desire to help the person. If their situation calls to my heart I know I can help them.
