How can one tell if what you are experiencing is real? And if you are already insane, would magick (especially spirit summoning and shit) harder to tell it apart?

Tangible results. Money manifesting in a peculiar fashion right after you do a money spell for example. But in all honesty, serious magic does require a peculiar mindset that the common man might consider insanity

Dreams are dreams. They can mean something but at least 90% of the time they do no not. I once had a dream that felt so real I was confusing it with reality for a good hour or so after I woke up and actually remember it happening like I remember going to school as a kid. In that dream I conquered hell with an army of talking tigers and went drinking with Lucifer afterwards… On the other hand I’ve also gotten actual advice and teachings in dreams from various entities

I will disagree on that partially, it depends heavily on the individual, his/her practices and the content of the dream.
Dreams are a very common way for Spirits to communicate with us plus we also have prophetic dreams.

well if U R insane and see spirit around, most likely that is the cause of ur insanity not a symptom of it. Buddy , everything is real in existence. just not to the degree of UR Physical Sofa. That’s all. And the subtler it is, more powerful it is. As it can influence stuff from the higher/sutler realm of manifestation.

yea, those are spirits/karmic substance. Better to get rid of them. They have their own agendas, as all spirits have and will try to direct ur life in a certain direction/incident from the astral realm.

It may not have been a dream lol that is a pretty wonderful dream if u ask me I’d love to talk to tigers…y I asked raum to teach me how to speak with animals irk how we will work that out tho

By “normal standards” we are all 100% insane, but in the eyes of the magician as others have said we see, hear, and feel things others don’t we know stuff is there but others would not. But by “normal standards” you have to find insanity to gain power and knowledge. I’m not saying to listen to a voice telling you “kill everyone”, “kill animals”, or “kill yourself” but you need to trust that the shadow in front of you is there or that a spell worked or you did talk to a spirit. Also proof helps as others have stated.

if this is true then let me tell you about the dream i had earlier(even though its off topic). also just let me know if it sounds confusing, because i was tired when i wrote it.
dream: i was asleep all day, and after waking and heading to school i was upset( i was riding a bus to school, not there yet). so i started screaming fake after being told to from someone( not someone physical). while i was screaming fake i thought i saw a giant of n old man or a young man. And then i suddenly was in the past. this past felt like mine, but i looked older then when i was in the future. i cant remember what i did in the past, but i knew that this was to far in the past. i said something weird kinda like what the witches from hocus pocus would, with all the rhymes and stuff, and then i saw a yellowish orange diamond appear in my line of vision, this also happened when the face appeared. and then i was in the future. but it wasnt the future i was trying to get to. but it wasnt to far in the past for me try to travel again, so i stayed. when i was in the future i was looking at my phone at the angle were i perfectly see it and only it. it was a different phone then my current one. i started configuring the apps. and in the top right corner of the screen on the home screen i seen another face, somewhat similar to the last one, but this one had a weird hat. those weren’t the only times i tried to travel, i didnt feel i needed to include the other times. during all of this i thought i felt chronos, or i felt he had something to do with this.
So, do you think chronos was trying to tell/show me something?
