Hi all! I’m new here, so I guess I’ll go ahead and get the introduction out of the way. I’m Lauren. Pleased to meet you.
I’m a dabbler. I’ve been dabbling for decades. Nothing too serious. Creative visualization. Sympathetic magic. I’ve built a really nice life for myself with a gentle nudge here and there. And a lot of hard work on my part too. I’m not trying to minimize the physical part. Heck, I like it. I like the hands on experience of bringing a project to fruition. It’s just that sometimes you need that little extra push to get things going. I’ve been reasonably successful at that.
I recently purchased a book - Archangels of Magick, and I was googling about the concept of working with angels. And I ended up here. Pretty interesting stuff you guys have going on here! I’d like to learn more about that part of it. About angels and other spirits.
I’m not even sure exactly where I want to go with that knowledge though. The whole idea is new to me, so I’m kind of feeling it out. I have an intuition that it can help me achieve the next level in my life.
I have some very profound years in the functionality of the Hierarchy of Heavens abode…They are not so few and far between, as many will testify to…The stoicism of Angelism has many a foundation of Truth and Order. There are determined ways of the Upper sentiment of God’s Emissaries, and their’s is Beauty Abound.
Have you worked with Angels before or will these be your first endeavor?
The Gallery of Magick is great though, they cut right to the chase and focus on practicing rather than the philosophy or all the directions, or the spirits favorite color, the proper way to greet them etc.
It’s great you have a background in creative visualization. Creativity and fun is essential to magick
It’s cool too work through magick books and to adopt systems but the key is to make it your own and how you can apply the teachings of one book to others or into your own practice.
Otherwise it’s essentially a follow along cookbook, I much prefer to look at magick as an occult or esoteric art rather than a science.
Yes there are formulas and techniques but each person has their own unique stroke, style, or specialization to bring to the table.
On this forum you will find a wide range of practicioners. And wide range of philosophy.
