When you’re in a meditative state you’re in too deep do anything let alone to evoke demons.
How the heck does EA evoke demons. It doesn’t even look like he’s in any kind of state.

The magician also gets in such a state through the ritual, that is, one may practice some parts (for example the more physical ones) with the ordinary consciousness.
To help the process, the evoker may also keep simple both the procedure and the calling/incantations, and stay relaxed during the work.

I don’t get it
You wont until you start practising. Abaddon told me once that there isn’t any one right way of summoning a being. So you’ll figure it out like the rest of us as soon as you stop worrying about how it all works. Just sit down and meditate. Practise meditating whilst quietly saying a mantra. That will enable you to get used to being in a deeper trance state whilst still being able to say incantations, etc. Of course you’re not going to be able to do it right off the bat. So practise until you can do it.
