it’s probably because i suffer from severe depression and anxiety but, i feel like i’m always scared that things won’t work out. i’ve been doing better at it since starting magic, but trying to change my mindset has been difficult. Ive stalked the forum for days, scouring it, trying to search for advice that will like help me not be scared.
it’s less of a “lusting for results” thing, i think i’ve let go of the result (or i try to tell myself i literally envoked demons who are super powerful like they can do anything) but it’s more on. i see stuff in my reality and that discourages me.
like sometimes i’m really confident in how i feel about magick and then the next second i see something about my target that’s contradictory to what i want to happen. most of the time i can brush it off, but sometimes it gets the better of me.
i just wanted to know if this happened for anyone else too? and what they did :(( and if stuff worked for them even if they had doubts sometimes.
This is when it’s ideal to a) out so much energy into the working there’s no emotion left about it and b) forget about it, further you did it, think of anything else.
even if it seems like it’s going south? or differently? it’s odd cause one second i get a clear sign it’s working and the next i get the opposite. It may be me being tested though…i’m gonna do a working tonight to talk with them and then watch a show i like to get my mind off it maybe :’DD i honestly feel like i’m being tested right now?
Yes, because magick can get resistance, especially if baneful, before the target gives up and it takes effect.
Law of Assumption is that it’s working, and you have to let it go. To do otherwise is actively doing magick against your own magick, and you’re adding oppositional energy to help make it fail.
It just sounds like you might want to do some shadow work on why you get anxiety and heal that.
But over time as you get more and more successes and build confidence that helps. And then if it doesn’t work, it’s not because you sabotaged it, you can calmly divine into why and course correct to fix the blocks or protections in the way.
okay true, i did JUST get a success (passing a test i 100% would not have passed if Dantalion and Orias didn’t influence my professor) so i’ll let it go.
it’s not baneful perse, but it’s my ex (wow, very new) and honestly? i just want an apology. but he has trouble taking accountability, so i’m guessing Dantalion is working on that so Sallos can come in hahaha. the other is a guy i like but he’s been texting me first a lot recently so i think it’s going well!

In my little experience, in terms of magick with entities: it does not matter if you lust for results or not. Things will still happen wether you want it or not just because you asked.
For me lusting for results is like a variable you want to take out in terms of measurement. When you do a scientific experiment you want to eliminate all the variables possible that may influence the measure of the observer subjectively or influence the experiment in itself.
If you do not lust for results and trust magick you will realize the changes magick bring to you.
If you lust for it you may not see the whole context and thus you will not realize about results because sometimes it is subtle.
Tke my example: i asked sitri to be more attractive. And i did not lust for results. Weeks passed and i realized that i started flirting with girls without even realizing. If i was lusting for results i am pretty sure i would not realize the effects of magick and maybe even destroy it by appearing needy or letting my will be driven by need.

My approach has been to focus on energy working for rituals and worrying about the things I can contribute to rituals such as raising energy, building a connection to the spirit I am working with, etc.
That being said I have found that Love Magick and Influence Magick has been painfully hit and miss for me despite all my diligent efforts so…
I know that magick of influence and love does work; yet what i have seen works the most is when i asked Sitri to make me more attractive. In terms of ME being the center of change and not necessarily to influence another mind.
And he not only made me more attractive or flirty but he threw me opportunities. He does not put people into their knees to me, but he creates the way to it.
Why don´t you give it a try from that perspective? Plus my petition to Sitri had a bonus. If you want someone to love you you are acting from neediness. Since i asked Sitri i changed so hard. I was so insecure, and now i don´t really care if a girl stares at me or not, i am on my own mind. And you now what? I find people staring at me when i return to my senses and find people talking to me out of nowhere.
