How do I get spirits to speak loud and clear into my mind?

When I’m evoking, I hear muffled or softly speaking voices.

Is there a way to get them to speak loudly?

Sometimes it’s a simple as asking. But if it’s not the spirits your after, and just kinda random chatter idk if you’ll get anywhere with that method. When I’m certain it’s who I’m attempting to work with however, I’m usually just like: I’m listening but Slow down, speak up, I’m struggling to hear.
