Its Lucifer in hebrew. The morning star, and it actually is a name for the planet Venus.

Actually, Helel ben Sahar: a title for an arrogant Babylonian ruler condemned by Isaiah in Isaiah 14:12. The Jewish Scribes responsible for the Septuagint translation of the old testament rendered this Hebrew as Eosphoros: Dawn Bringer which was then translated into the Latin Vulgate version as “Lucifer” by St Jerome. This rendering was then carried over into the King James Version. Peter Gray’s work “Lucifer Princeps” and Michael Howard’s “The Luminous Stone” detail this historical process in detail. If folks want to find out more, these two books are great places to start. The actual historical personage that Isaiah is likely referring to is the Assyrian King Sargon II.
