Not always actually, the Hermit sometimes tells you that something will happen in 2 or 3 years. It’s a time card like the High Priestess

There’s an interesting webpage about the hermit card you may wanna look at because it’s a card with a lot of different associations not just solitude. The page goes into a fairly good depth about the card and it’s associations.

Add: note what the symbols in the card mean like the lantern.

What are the readings about? Are you doing them about yourself and with the same question?

It was on myself pertaining to my goals. I was also doing inquiries about Housing.

And what does the hermit mean to you or how did you read him in these readings?
When it appeared on these specific questions.

Well the only thing that pops in my head is introspection…

Maybe it’s telling you time to spend more time in solitude. If you already do plenty of that, well I don’t know what else to say. :grinning:

The Hermit reoccurring like this is telling you to take some time out for a while and think about what you really want, not what others or environmental issues may be telling you to achieve. Meditate upon your concerns or goals. Outside influence here should be avoided, as you need to follow your inner light of guidance.

Okay, that’s the one you should go with because it is showing you something that is fundamentally true and not just one of many exoteric interpretations. The “light” that he holds comes from retreating into oneself where the only thing true/real exists and from which all external illusions go forth. It’s not necessarily a physical retreat but it points you in the right direction, i.e. inside, within. As within, so without. There are many other exoteric interpretations but this one, the esoteric, is fixed and always right. Turn towards yourself for true answers and knowledge.
