I never really gave too much thought into that, Lilith appeared in a lighter and darker way as well. In one dream it was sort of both, scared the crap out of me at the end but really- there was no actual danger

The physical and spiritual world are closely entnagled it could have been anybody. You literally could have bumped into him in a higher dimension. While you were awake you did something non physical that caused your spirit flight to bump into him he then setup this eleborate story just to tell you.
