Guide of how to detect scammers. This is more for new people, but it would be great if experienced magicians share here their advices.

Probably most of the people here, in some point of our live hired a “magician” or thought about do it. And of course, a lot, if not the most, were scammed. Dont feel bad if it happened to you, that parasites fed on our problems and miseries, its their best hability, they are masters on that so dont torment yourself, just learn the lesson. But now, I will share the differences in the scammers.

  1. Total Scammer. They can have or not magick knowledgment, probably yes, at least the basics. But, having power or not, they will never help you. They will block you and byebye money. If the work its in a personal meeting they will brainwash you with a lot of lies to get you tied and dropping money. If they realice that you know enough about magick to dont be tricked, they will make you leave probably with lies like: ok, you want that thing, you need to prepare yourself for a year, then buy every saturday this…. blablabla… Sounds familiar? Sounds impossible? Sounds insane work? If they show a common work, sometimes even a hard work, like an impossible thing, its their way to made you go away in a frindly way.
  2. Scammer but stupid. Like the first one but this dont know nothing about magick, of course, they can buy a few candles, put a coat and take some pics that even the most newbie should realice that are pure fantasy. If you search a little about them, you will find that they have 0 magick knowledgment, that they are even poor than you and it happens with many things.
  3. Not intentional scammer. No mistery here, “magicians” who are not magicians and dont have any power but they really think they have.
  4. The I wish he was only a scammer. This is the worst one, they are people with power and magick, but they dont know how to use and cant control it, even if they think yes and they had some results. So if you open your doors to them… It can go in any way, from perfect, to nothing, to horrible.

Some hints that screams you are in front of a scammer: (please, forum, add yours)

  1. Haves 1000 announces in internet. A powerfull magician its not begging like that.
  2. Ask your whole life and give 0 information if you dont first tell them about.
  3. Claim that their magick are unique or inherited.
  4. This one is epic. In their announce they say that they practice all kind of magick or paths, and of course, they are masters in all of them. Black magic, blue magick, white magick, red magick, voodoo, pomba gira, santa muerte, pink magick, african magic, wicca, chaos, butterfly magick… ALL.
  5. Guarantees 100% results.
  6. Guarantees nothing with something like: i do the work, but the universe is who finally choose.
  7. Dont understand about magick basics that you tell to them.
  8. Tell you that you will never have consequences no matters the work.
  9. Get tensed or block you if they realice that you have some ammount of knowledge.
  10. I can write more, but 10 is enough. If for the “magician” its not enough, and you need to pay again, and again, and a again… You are dumb, one its okay, but not two and of course not three or more.

Now i will tell you a true situation that happened to me. I needed a work and i couldnt do it myself so i look for magicians. But in that moment i know about magick more than most of people, even more than most of the “magicians” in the announces webs. So i could discarded the 95% of them and chated to the 5%. After all, there was only one woman who i believed that she was a real magician. While talking, she sent me images of demons sigils, probably she doesn´t expected i would recognice them, but i did. One of them, Valefor one´s, she said: this is a spirit i work with a lot, he helps me to made the thiefs who owe me money give it to me.

I never worked with Valefor, but i readed a lot of times that his specialty was the complete opposite. Help thiefs, not catch them. So i told that to her and she never talked to me anymore. /// So, my thought is, and i think im right, its that she really was a magician, that she very possible had a relation with Valefor, but, to scam people.

Oh, i forget to say the very epic, at least at the same level that the ones who are masters of all styles. What can be so epic like that?

  1. They are in misery, they are ugly, they are sick, they dont have job, they dont have partner, they dont have nothing, but, But, BUT, they promise they can give all to you.

Question: So, why you dont do it for yourself?

Answer: Ahhhh, mmmmm, magick dont works in oneself.

12. They offer you a free tarot reading and then tell you that you are fatally cursed, in order to take all your money.

That’s true, there were cases on television too, when a fraudster told a woman (he took advantage of the fact that she had a sick son, so she sought out this kind of help)
and told her that the money was dirty, that all the money she had to give him was to “clean” it
and of course he ran off with the money and the woman still hasn’t gotten it back.

You wouldn’t believe what some people can believe and these scammers are exploiting it

The entire point of this forum, and why we don’t allow advertising here, is to support people in learning how to do magick for themselves.

So, this is all true, but it’s adjacent to the purpose of this forum? Why are you here, if you are looking for others to do your work for you? Why are you exposing yourself to this kind of risk when everything we are trying to tell you here is that you do not need to give your power away like this?

Pretty sure you absolutely could. It’s not like you need expensive tools, or vast knowledge. You need directed intention and the will to earn and some time. It’s all free, you have to do the work. Laziness attracts predators.

This is not the “Magick for Muggles forum”, it’s the “Become a Living God forum”.

You will never need need this advice if you believe in the tenets of this forum and practice your craft. And ALL humans can do magick if they but try. Being a muggle is a choice.

In that moment i couldnt, no matters the reason now. Its past, but its good to show it, if it makes people dont fall in the same mistake. And many times if not the most, we learn more from mistakes than from success.

A common trick of psychics, channelers, and tarot readers is to recite what are called Barnum statements. A Barnum statement is something that applies to almost everyone such as, “You like to have fun.” Who would that NOT apply to? Who hates having fun?

Cold readings are another trick. Cold reading is easy when you know a person’s background and information. Simple statements like, “I’m sensing a name like Pete”-could be someone in the audience, could be a family member, lover etc and by using that tactic, now you can dwell deeper and look at the person; like if they had a wedding band you’d say something like “im sensing Petes death was untimely?” If the person was young its likely, their spouse died in an accident or something.

Cold readings are easy, true psychic and divination are not.

That’s part of why when I do divination for another, I go at it with a clear mind and no knowledge of their background because by then, Cold reading can apply and I avoid doing Cold readings because its not true psychic stuff-cold readings are just basic human psychology and sociology

Ah, typicall too.

-I see a wedding, very beatifull, but i can feel envy from a young woman to the bride, she is against that wedding, she is jealous and burns with anger for not being her that day. (the most details, the more they believe it)

-But i didnt have any wedding since a lot of time.

-You will have in a medium term. Dont drink much alcohol and dont give much information of yourself to unknown guests. But dont worry, that things are common in weddings, but anyway it will be a beautifull and a fantastic day. (they made their clients imagine and live that situation in their minds)

Another one. And they are experts after years doing it. Clothes, all non-verbal language and verbal too, style, all… people are like open books for who knows how to read them.

I will add something that can be accepted or not. Its about lying (scamming too from some point of view) but when are this reason:

Client who is adict to tarot readings and all that stuff, they can go and ask the same question four times because they want to hear only what they want to hear. If the tarotist is a good professional and tell to the client that will/not will happen but the client is still stubborn and dont move nothing. I dont see that bad if the tarotist starts lying to that person. Obviously its better to say: i dont read you more because xxxxx, but years of working with that persons can made them lost a bit of professionalism.

Personal opinion: I think the best option overall its refusing to work with that client. Magick things work a lot in mouth to mouth, and hearing that a tarotist sometimes rejects clients will give them an aura that they work only with special people and that they dont want only money.

Edit: i do newbie reads for friends for free, but if they start asking stupid questions or repeating every time I refuse to read them anymore.

That’s a very common and insidious one to be aware and suspicious of. Usually they’ll also state something among the line of them being the only one that can fix it.

And allways was made a lot of years ago. (so its true even if you was closed in your room the last 5 years)

But I think they noticed that history is very used and now they are using: was made to a deceased familiar and you inherited it. (yo are trapped here unless you $)

Let me please share this. Why this thread is getting attention and people are involving in it?

Because we love magick. Most if not all true magicians hate the scammers. Why? It can be moral of course, but the truly reason is because we love magick. No matters if we have success or not, no matters if we are here since 1 year or 12, no matters the path, no matters nothing but this: We cant tolerate that trash using the magick or the name to that wormy pourpose.

Only we know how many time we dedicated to the magick. Only we know how many we love the magick. Only we know how many we respect magick. Using something very important what is part of us in that way causes our masive rejection. Its not only about money. That worms infect contaminate the magick and its meaning. So we should contribute to destroy or discover their dirty acting.
