This may sound quite oldfashioned, but I think it is true. To be romantic is to slow down. If you are really into someone, and they are into you, of course, you show them that by slowing down, being romantic, giving her gifts you genuinely feel like giving her. In this way you show that you want to spend time with her, doing whatever you do. And if you are shy, don’t try to remove the shyness, because it is part of you. If you play someone else, then you risk that a girl falls in love with someone, who is not you, and the facade will fall, and it is over. Show that you truly want to deepen a relationship with the right one instead of acting like you want some kind of sex fix. To slow down is to open up all kinds of wonderful opportunities, and the more time you spend with the right one, the more amazing it can be. A one night stand just cannot provide that kind of thing.
