Ok people, I really really want to start this path!!! I’m talking Dante serious. To prove to you how serious I am, I was originally initiated in to the Congo sorcery but that never managed to workout for me due to other people not wanting to teach me. I got into the whole guru worshiping bla bla bla!!! Ended up being used and taken for granted.
I want to know where do I start? How do I begin? What steps are necessary to start on this path!!! Once again, I am for real!!! Im looking for TOTAL MASTERY!!! Just like Dante!!!
Sounds like Dante is your new guru. Dante was far from a master and the fact that his spine collapsed from treating the dead in a disrespectful fashion proves it, not to mention the fact he is now learning Palo Mayombe from experienced Paleros.
Start working with your ancestors first, they’re the most important dead spirits you can work with. There’s plenty of info out there on how to set up an ancestral altar and begin building a relationship with them.
And if you don’t want to begin with your ancestors, then core shamanism classes run by the Fouyndation For Shamanic Studies teach a simple method of trance journeying and psychopomp work (from the Greek word ψυχοπομπός - psuchopompos, literally meaning the “guide of souls”) that will allow you to speak to deceased people, heal them, learn from them, and eventually develop wider skills.
Dozens of people, at least, study this with them this every year, it’s taught in a safe and supportive manner and the teachers cover every angle and set you up with the grounded confidence to handle anything that comes your way.
There’s nothing in the world to beat the feeling of KNOWING - from first-hand experience - that not only does our consciousness not blink out when our brains stop firing, but that there’s a whole culture out there of deceased people who are themselves guides and mentors, and an afterlife that at least in some respects resembles the ideals we have - people who are escorted are often greeted by their own ancestors, or a parent or grandparent.
It’ll also help you understand the levels of the human soul and generally give you a great foundation for magick.

I already have. For 2 years. Its time for me to move the next level but i don’t know how or what that may be. Whats the next step?
Have you tried the psychopomp stuff? It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s seriously a fast way to build power and goodwill amongst various spirits as well.
It’s the coolest, there’s nothing quite like it IMO!
Kind of tricksy to teach online, but those FSS guys I mentioned have a good template for this and then you quickly build your own skills.
Also I found Buné really does seem to be the being worshipped by the Egyptians as Buto, and she seems to have absolute mastery of this area, if you soul-travel to her she may be able to give you some tips.
What she did for me was help me evoke a kind of energy body representation of deceased relatives that their higher selves could interact through (basically a “resurrection body”), this was all done lovingly and not in some forceful way, so we could converse and exchnage ideas, she seems to be just about the go-to spirit for this. She’s extremely kind and her familiars are all rather cool as well, so that’s something to explore maybe.
Ever since I have began attempting to contact and work with Buto lately as I prefer to call her, she has responded and felt very gentle, loving and benevolent every time I can think of. I was wondering if she could help with awakening clairvoyant abilities? I’ve been trying to work with Haniel with hopes to do this as well, but I’m trying to find the single best spirit possible for assisting me in awakening my clairvoyance so that I can start hearing the spirits voices at the least, which will further assist me in learning to see them. Do you have any suggestions for this by chance?
