I meant I also wanted to hear different philosophies that are similar to Sith philosophy as well
And yes
I would make it easier I guess
Still wish the Sith philosophy page was still hear
That thread was removed by a former Global Moderator. There was no actual content or practical info, more just fan-style comments of links to youtube, and reference to the Book of the Sith on Amazon.
It was off topic for the forum as no discussion of magick or spirituality really came out of it and the OP closed his account. He is now @OddEmanation
Gheheheh, if you miss it, I’ll post my short opinion on Sith and Jedi philosophy.
It’s a stylized version of a very religious and dualistic view of good vs. evil/ christian vs everything else (the devil) . Both sides are deeply flawed and deeply unhealthy to adhere to in real life
I like (pre Disney) Starwars, but it’s fiction. Very much and extremely fiction, with very little application for real life
I would agree. The original 3 films did not elaborate on the philosophy, and all later additions are fan fiction, gaming lore and very much everyday human musings, related to the ideas of the creator George Lukas, but not necessarily what he’s have said about his creation.
I realise they’re “cannon” because whoever owns the license to make cartoons gets to say what that is, but unless George Lukas gave us an essay on his intended philosophy I’d not be particularly be interested.
I have the same feeling for the Lovecraftian genre, not that the King in Yellow and the Simon Necronomicon and other non-Lovecraft works are not awesome in their own right, as fiction, I don’t consider them with the same gravity if I’m looking into designing a ritual with say Cthulhu.
You know it took me a lot of time but I finally have found what’s close enough to what I’ve been looking for, and it’s another book written by Mantak Chia.
First off. I’ve really underestimated internal alchemy over the years. As well as many others.
Second…
I LOVE THAT GUY!!!
(So wish I new more on what his books where about years ago though. Originally in my head I just thought they where just hippie stuff)
