"Experimental Sensors" from the 70's

pI am having a difficult time deciphering whether or not I made a good decision selling my 12’’ Flanagan sensor 24K. I figured although I seemed to be the only person who would go ahead and depart with it, a $1600 fee for it was a pretty steep sum for simply having pat’s name etched on it. If I’m not mistaken it should be pretty simple to find the ways and means to duplicate the energy that it transmitted.

If there is anything incredibly special about still owning the 12’’ Flanagan sensor 24K as opposed to buying a similar 12’’ PCB plate with etched magnetron pattern can someone please enlighten me as to why I may have benefitted more from saving the antenna I had from the 70’s?
