what then are the main advantages of vampirism?
Off the top of my head, there’s fast healing both injuries and sickness, always having a chi supply, an effective means of laying my enemies to waste, being able to get complete strangers to trust in me, confide in me, and defer to me on everything, being able to move entire crowds of people, being a complete God in bed, and being able to cow just about anyone with a stare.
While your list of benefits is impressive, I am surprised it does not include such things as “restoration of youth” or physical immortality.
I think it can include restoration of youth to an extent, while physical immortality is rather unlikely from what I’ve seen. I have personally met about 15 real life vampyres (those who feed on prana rather than blood) and the advanced ones looked like they had their life in order, some of them even looking pretty youthful despite having crossed their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. That said, part of that was certainly due to cosmetic surgery, while another part is that they paid a lot of attention to their diet. Most also practiced some form of martial arts or other physical activity on a regular basis.
From my brief experience of feeding so far, following instructions from Michael Ford’s books, I can say that adhering to his instructions makes absolute sense and is healthy. Choose your targets wisely,…people who are healthy and energetic. If in a crowd, only pick those who stand out through their energy and vitality. That way you’ll avoid feeding from those who already have a lot of negative energy. I find that feeding from those really does revitalize me to a degree which only deep sleep or meditation can. Not even sports comes close.
This is of course not to be taken as dogma, just a little advice based on having learned from my own “mistakes” (such as feeding on a cursed individual) so far.
If you want physical immortality information, I suggest reading Leonard Orr.
Vampyrism has not really helped me with learning how to be immortal only giving me the belief/knowing that it is possible (physical immortality).
