It doesn’t affect “Magicians” but Spells/rituals. Some practitioners feel that eclipse is a powerful time to perform ritual and enhance there spell casting.
But it is all based on your belief if you don’t believe that moon or planetary events have an effect on spells and casting than don’t believe.
Also folklore about eclipse does demonstrate that these events have always been observed and also increase the power of any spell casting/ ritual.
