A friend of mine a rhp Kabbala witch does soaps, creams, potions and next “to do” thing is candles. If you can do candles yourself they are far more powerful than bought candles.

Yeah I going to buy all the stuff necessary, I was thinking to put dragon blood in the wax. But wanted to know the ratio of dargon blood and candle wax

I make my own candles, for most of them, the ones which needs a container. Thinking to buy few molds at some point.

Do you mix the wax with incense?

I don’t, because for the most part everything will go on the bottom, unless you heat up the top of the candle and then put the incense there. I usually use fragrance oils which are made for candles.

Is this also the case if one uses powders ? I was thinking to heat up the wax and mix the power in it and then pour it in the mold

Well I’ve done it only once, but you could still give it a try. When I dress my candles I just heat the top and put everything there, so it doesn’t fall on the bottom. What are you trying to make, a scented candle ? Or just for intentions mostly ?

Yeah something like that I suppose, The shop I normally buy my black candles do not sell them on their webshop anymore, and all the other online store got candles that got significantly shorter burn hours and all in all the other candles are more expensive.

So I was thinking to make my own candles. With that in mind I thought why not add dragon blood power to the wax. As a way to burn the dragon blood incense as well as having a candle lit at the same time. So that I can offer the dragon blood to the spirit I am working with on that moment. Something like killing two birds with one stone.

I have a incense burner though but I need to clean the grid every time before using it. So I thought making a candle with incense in it would be handy.

It depends honestly, some oils have a stronger scent than others, so I will put less. I think it’s like 10-15ml of oil for 1kg of wax ? Pretty much 10% of your wax.

I will be honest, I’ve never tried putting incense powder in a candle, because again, I prefer using oils. It blends better with the wax, instead of using that kind of stuff. You can still try though, but I don’t think it will disolve in the wax, and you probably won’t get the fragrance you are looking for.

I actually have yet to have the chance to make my own candles. I make my own incense but have yet to try candles

It’s actually pretty chill to do, I’ve made a few. I don’t remember who else is making their own candles, I’ve talked with her last time…
