Does anyone else do this? For example, my tarot cards are my tarot cards, I have specific meanings that I attribute to some cards that go against the traditionally accepted ones. I can barely do readings with anyone else’s, the energy feels wrong. I have a pendulum that I just bought and a wand I inherited from my mother that I’d love to develop that kind of relationship with. But then I noticed that some people seem to be able to pull a pack of cards, a pendulum, a wand, a crystal, a ceremonial dagger or what have you out of the original packaging and use it. This is so weird to me, and I wanted to get some opinions from everyone here to see which way most people lean. Do you develop a bond with your tools?

It seems that most of the grimoire advise on making your own tools, so yeah, thats a great way. Like wiccans for example, making their wand, they need to talk to the three first, and ask if they can cut them to make the wand. Consecrate the tools and etc…
