Dark Magic! and Satanism

Im a reader more than anything else.but when I started reading about CATHERINE DESHAYES LAVOISIN i got real excited.she was one of the first satanic witches. i think i may be mistaken ther is a power that works in satanism.just as there is a power in other religons and paths.so ive been on the lookout for more satanic inspired occult books.any suggestions for a beginner

Not any that Id recommend. Summon Satan and ask him to teach you himself.

I have to second this. Most Satanism oriented books on the market today, are either complete bullshit written by uneducated authors with heavily christian-ized views. On the other hand, the ones who have actual experience provide rituals and rites so dark, that even I will not attempt to try them yet and I have been doing magick since I was a child.

The best way to learn, is directly from the source itself. There are little if any at all books on the market written just for beginning Satanists. It’s one of the hardest paths to learn about because there are very few that are willing teach you, which is why I think so many have such unrealistic and false views of Satanism, they end up reading the bullshit as they don’t know where else to turn to.

Honestly, many advanced Satanists will not waste time helping newbies, they see the beginners as pests as they are more focused on their own ascent above all. Some forums NOT this one, but others which will remain nameless, the members are so cruel to newbies that Satan himself would probably be more lieniant on you than they would.

Just to clarify, I do not mean that all Satanists behave this way towards beginners, just those who identify with certain types of Satanism.

Also, Satan himself is an extremely enigmatic entity. There are almost no people out there actively teaching stuff his work, at least not publicly. A lot of people are just parroting Bullshit or making up what they think Satan is without ever actually calling him.

thanks for the advice.as im reading that there is people who work alot with demons im becoming fascinated by dark black witchcrafts.

“Dark black” is redundant. Sorry, but I get really bothered by crap like that. I never read anything with a completely redundant title, as it is typically a “Darker than thou” waste of my time. And I apologize if you think I’m talking about your comment, I’m more talking about books that propose to teach “the dark black infernal chthonic art of underworld necromancy”.

What Euoi said. To work with Satan/Lucifer is for the most part a personal thing, you have to discover who the entity by yourself as no one else can tell for you. This is mostly as there is no general consensus on who he is.

Agreed. I actually think that’s kinda funny. Everyone talks about Satan, but no one knows him.

Have you read The Satanic Bible? I think that would be a good start. I loved it for it’s common sense approach and lack of BS. After that, read The Satanic Witch and The Satanic Rituals. Anton LaVey may not have been a theistic Satanist, but he was certainly inspired. I don’t consider the magickal rites contained therein to be particularly dark. I’d go as far as to say that one who is just starting out, the idea that when one invokes Satan and his demons, one is merely calling to light parts of oneself, previously hidden in darkness may sit more comfortably than the idea of calling on actual demons.
As for the conduct of Satanists on other forums, LaVeyan Satanists in particular, consider themselves to be elite. They believe a Satanist is born, not made, so therefore, a newcomer must prove that s/he belongs, or be made to feel unwelcome. They also tend to be intolerant of those who come around and expect to be spoon fed (asking questions they could easily answer thru their own research) or just acting like fucktards. I have a fairly low tolerance of fucktards myself and sympathise to a certainly extent, but I saw it carried too far on occasions. They also claim to be the only true Satanists, believing LaVey to have coined the term. I can’t comment on the truthfulness of that.

ive read the satanic bible and i liked it.im planning on buying a newly released hardback edition from ebay.

In my opinion, which can be wildly inaacurate, satan is at best an egregore; I would prefer to find a prexisting Entity; which already inherant and organic Force and Power which was not needed to be given by supplicants or drawn off from some other being. I could be wrong, but the entity which began coming to me when i was 9, sure he could kick my ass and blow my mind and scare the crap outta me; but now at age 53, and able to live without surrendering my Inherant Divine Sovereignty to any “God claiant or Devil Claimant”, he seems very disinterested on answering my summons, which is fine, just shows me where i have ascended to from where i began. imo

You are extremely incorrect. Satan is not an egregore.

Wat, are laveyan satanists actual occultists? i thought it was more of a “something to belong in” kind of group (or a philosophical one)… I have read parts of that book but i didn’t want it too fascinating. Maybe its just because my mind has this idea of satanic and black bibles being some sort of cliche as it seems that about every teen/young adult knows what they are and many even have them, occultist or not. At least in this country…

Now i might be wrong in this particular case, and my meaning was not to mock any Laveyan satanists if such remain here. But this just truly is how i see the matter.

The philosophy is extremely unbalanced. I don’t recommend it.

Interestingly enough, I actually had a debate with a LaVeyan Satanist, as to whether their brand was a religion or a mere philosophy, as I was inclined to think the latter. EA Koetting made initial contact with the Church Of Satan and was advised that it wasn’t for him, as he sought something more mystical. LaVey did not believe in the literal existance of Satan and the demons, but he believed that the amount of fear they had inspired thru the eons made for an enormous reservoir of power in their infernal names. LaVey’s magickal rituals worked very well for me.
Many a magician will tell you, it doesn’t matter what you believe as to the reality of Satan, or whatever spirit you are working with. Believe in the power and use it!
Take whatever you can from whoever you are reading or studying and tailor a ritual for yourself, whatever feels right. If it gets results, great, what else matters in the end?

Do what you feel like only goes so far. Results are really on the lower end of what can be accomplished.

What exactly do you mean by this?

theres all kinds of different roads you can travel in occultism.i like lavey and that time period when spiritualism and occultism was exploding.i think its good to learn about every thing i can.i do like creepy gothic imagery,i also like beautifull naked women laying on altars. i will say that i belive that higher spirits like to be associated with a creppy like holiness like in the movie The Village of the Damned.

I mean actually what I said. Operational magic (magic for “stuff”) is on one end of the spectrumof what is possible. And, unfortunately, making shit up as you go along and doing whatever you feel like doesn’t expand beyond that.
If all you see Satan as is a power reservoir, you ignore the fundamental fact of his objective existence and his ability to teach you things beyond yourself.
