I tell my brain to shut the fuck up quite a bit. How do you explain the brain making us think about disturbing shit like past memories and made up scenarios.

Telling yourself to shut the fuck up is just delaying the problem from what I understand. Painful memories I donât know but made up scenarios are usually your mind trying to solve problems you havenât encountered yet

Thatâs one of the things that meditation is good for, meeting those terrifying brain things and dealing with them in a healthy way.

Mindfulness meditation is really good for what youâve been complaining about. You accept any thoughts and quiz yourself, "Why do I think that? Is this way of thinking helpful?
