Does anyone know any good books that teaches about the runes uses in divination AND majick?

Recently I purchased an Out of Print Book and Cards - Rune Cards
Ancient Wisdom for the New Millenium by Ralph Blume. The cards
are so insigtful and right on that I swear they have been blessed by Odin
himself. One of my questions was whether I should drive to a certain
destination a day after the snow storm. The answer was Isa - stand still.

Taking up the Runes
and
Uthark the Nightside of the Runes

Years ago I was having a fireside discussion with Freya Aswynn, she told me that Odin was sending a message out via Ralph Blume.

Thanks guys.
I’m gonna order taking up the runes and get Nightside of the Runes when I have the money.
I saw a copy of Nightside the other day going for $3000.
Glad to see the price has dropped a bit lol.

Well shit.Taking up the Runes is out of stock.
Have you guys heard of a book called A Practical Guise to the Runes:Their uses in Divination and Majick?

I never shop Amazon anymore:

Edred Thorsson (Stephen Flowers) wrote a book for the Rune Gild members called Nine Doors Of Midgard - here’s the amazon.com page just so you can see the details & reviews. It was previously only issued to RG members but you can often find copies on eBay, amazon, etc., which is where I got mine.

It has some interesting exercises for using the runes and the main thing I took from it was the creation of a “magickal” self, an idealised self you enter into when you want to do empowered workings, and I got some useful stuff from that.

This part of the amazon reviews is probably most accurate:

“The Nine Doors is a program of studies and practices which involve physical, mental and spiritual exercises in order to “absorb” into your personal field the energy of the runes. As you can guess, the exercises progress in difficulty and complexity as the book advances. The merit of the work is that is the first book to really try to propose a method of working with the runes besides the obvious “learning the meaning” for divination.”

Not one to rush to the top of your list, maybe, but I think there are gems in it that can be adopted and adapted to a non-Gild-style way of working. I always find SF’s books too jam-packed and straight-jacketed to be followed exactly, but the powerful seed ideas I’ve gotten from taking pieces and adapting them mean he’s one of my favourite authors.

Just re: things being out of stock, don’t forget you can set up an alert on eBay by using Follow This Search, which usually appears to the left of the screen above the thumbnails of the results when you search for a specific thing - it’s not a function a lot of people seem to know about, so mentioning it just in case.

The book is not worth more than $20 tops. It is a good book, but paying what people think it is worth is just stupidity.
It is on Scribd. Go there and either upload a file and get it for free, or pay a 24hr fee which is like $8. It is double paged, so you can print out 69 pages(it is a 178 pages).
Or torrent.

Well my copy of Taking up the Runes and my obsidian rune set should be here by next Tuesday. It all only cost me $37 and some change and that’s with the fastest shipping they offer.
Good deal all in all if you ask me.
