Bone transplant

Kind of an odd topic. Ok so check this so I broke my heel last month i had surgery and the dr. Put a piece of a women’s pelvic bone to replace the bone i smashed. Now the question is when you have another’s dna, stem cells, and what not. Now does that affect you at all? On all levels?

I’ve heard of people who had drastic changes in personality after having a heart or other organ transplant. So I don’t see why you couldn’t. But this is just speculation and 0 hard evidence.

Well, it can happen both with sex and hematolagnia (a term for blood drinking for sexual pleasure. Not quite what I was going for but close enough) could effect you, which could be viewed as an exchange of DNA. Not necessarily permanently though. So i would think a transplant would also effect you to some degree, although i am not sure by how much and for how long.

If it’s not compatible with you, yes. Since your immune system will regonize it as an foreign object and attack it.

Either a big response which can be life threatening or most cases, in which your immune system will work at it over time. Which is why for things like transplants or metal rods/etc – they don’t last forever.

If it’s organic, then there’s stuff like that too… although I forgot the fine details.

Yeah I know that but I didn’t really mean it physically. But ty very much. Have a great day

My younger brother was sick with leukemia and needed a bone marrow transplant. They had a donor, but my brother rejected the transplant, so the DRs decided to do a stem cell transplant. I was the only person that matched so they used mine. Stem cells and T-cells.

At first, he had a plethora of health issues after the transplant, but as he got older, his body adjusted and while he lives with graft vs host disease, he has no other issues. He was 15 and I was 21 when we did the first round, so I’m not sure if his anger was due to having cancer or just having the usual teenage angst, but he was an angry kid. After he received the stem cell transplant, he calmed down, became more laid back and lost most of the anger. His hair was dark brown before the transplant, now it’s black and the same texture as mine.

As far as spirituality, I’m not sure if his changed because he almost died or because he has my stem cells or what but it’s really hard to tell. I can try to say it was because of the transplant, but I’m sure anyone who faced death has changed their spirituality or viewed things differently afterwards.
