Best way to apologize to a spirit?

Obviously you evoke them and apologize but what else besides that ? what offerings are recommended ?

I usually apologize to spirits by repeating the mantra “I’M SORRY!” and then I do my best not to do again what I did. Repentance is a good fuel for inner change, but if you don’t use it well, it rots and turns into guilt
