Yes.
It has nothing to do with being humble though, or proving anything. Part of the demon’s purpose is to help further our evolution, and they prefer to teach us how to do things for ourselves than to do everything for us.
Respect on both sides is advised, but they teach because the individual demon wants to teach an individual. They don’t have to teach or give humans the time of day, humans reach out to them and some will answer.
They don’t care about you unless you form a bond with one as an individual and not simply as a means to an end. If you choose to keep it “business” that’s also fine.
