Autonomy and Owning Your Faults

I heard from an old friend and had a great time catching up with him. We spoke for a while and he mentioned that he bought The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. It’s apparently about all the ways the devil tries to trip you up and keep you away from God.

Azazel however, wasnt particularly pleased about that part of the conversation. He said he tires of Christians blaming the devil for their own lusts. Unless a spirit has physical control of a human, the decision of the human is their own. This is true even when thoughts are injected into your mind. If the thought interferes with ones moral code, and the individual still chooses to pursue their lusts, thats their own fault for not having a stronger moral code.

He says he wants humans to better themselves for their own sake, not for the sake of the Abrahamic God. Not for the sake of worshipping him, but so that we may become powerful spirits who thrive independently despite our connection to THE ALL.

And yes. Part of that is owning your shit. Blaming others for your faults allows no one but the accused to grow.

You put it perfectly, and we all know its hard to own up to our faults but thats what makes us black magicians better than everyone else, we are willing to go through the hard parts for the betterment of ourselves.

Exactly. If it weren’t for truths like this, we would be RHP, which isnt bad… but not really our style!!! XP
